“Italics: AP does not italicize words in news stories. Italics are used in Stylebook entries to highlight examples of correct and incorrect usage.”
[Meaning, do not italicize anything, with the exception of our own newspaper: the Round Table.]
Ex: Claude’s favorite movies are “Mary Poppins” and “Mrs. Doubtfire.”
“Times: use figures except for noon and midnight. Use a colon to separate hours from minutes:”
Ex: Claude poops at 10:00 a.m. and pees at 10:00 p.m.
